What size HVAC system should I get for my home?

Here in Texas bigger is thought to be better, but your air conditioning system may not always be the case! *High humidity in our climate is best resolved with a properly sized air conditioner and properly sealed duct system. *An over sized system will "short cycle" which means it will cool quickly but not remove enough humidity to make your home comfortable. This results in you cranking down the thermostat which means higher electric bills. *We perform a Manual J Load Calculation so there is no guess work when it comes to properly sizing your new investment. We take into account your homes features like the direction you house faces, the amount of doors and windows, your attic insulation, ceiling heights, and many other factors to determine the exact size needed for your home. *In large homes we can also install a central dehumidifier to ensure comfortable humidity levels. If you feel like your unit is not large enough, maybe it is just not performing at its best, or is simply worn out from years of dedicated service. Schedule a service call and we can determine if your system needs some repairs or if a newer larger system is in fact needed.
